Yet another exploration in the world of astronomy! The impertinent scientists this time have discovered the most distant galaxy yet! It is nearly 13 billion light years away.

The newly spotted galaxy is named IOK-1. It is so far away that the light waves reaching the Earth depict the system of stars. It existed shortly after the Big Bang that created the universe approximately 13.7 billion years ago.

The scientists had expected to find at least six galaxies similar to IOK-1, 12.88 billion light-years away! Their findings will be published on Thursday in the journal Nature.
