Till now, chemotherapy was taken as the last hope for patients with cancer. Well, the good new is soon to buzz all afflicted with cancer. According to this news, therapy called radioimmunotherapy is far more effective against cancer cells.
Study by Dr. Arturo Casadevall and Dr. Ekaterina Dadachova of Albert Einstein Cancer Center at Yeshiva University has produced significant evidences, proving its effectiveness against cancer.
During the course of study, some lab mice were injected with human cervical and liver cancer cells and to everybody’s surprise, radioimmunotherapy destroyed those cancer cells quite effectively. Another interesting feature of the finding is that where chemotherapy often damages healthy cells also, radioimmunotherapy wasn’t found doing the same.
