This can be regarded as a major achievement in the field of medicine as a team of British scientists have gone ahead and grown some portion of human heart from stem cells. Now hopefully within a time period of three years doctors will be able to use artificially grown heart components in transplants. Tissues were grown by the researchers which can function in a similar manner as that of human heat valves.

This effort involved a decade of hard work and the team consisted of pharmacologists, physicists, cellular scientists and clinicians. Since stem cells can turn into different types of cells they can be re grown into different tissues for treatment of diseases and repairing of damages.

Now the day is not far off when a whole human heart could be created from stem cells. In the future other organs may also be created using stem cells. Though this may seem difficult but believe me it is not impossible!!
