Here is a good news for people who want to render blond hair, reproducing which in computer graphics has always been more difficult. Researcher Steve Marschner at Cornell University have developed a better method for rendering blond hair.

The new method starts by tracing rays from the light source into the hair. And, it is a much faster process compared to the current best rendering one — path-tracing. While the path-tracing method takes 60 hours, the new method needed only 2.5 hours of computation.

So, have more fun now, by becoming a computer-generated blonde.
