Good news for any orthodontics patient going to the University of Manitoba in Canada! Forget about speaking with a receptionist. You can now “sign in” with your fingerprints by touching a fingerprint keypad at the front desk.
The University has installed a new biometric technology for doing this job. The clinic has been upgraded this summer, equipping each orthodontic resident’s dental station with a chair-side computer. It receives the biometric data sent when patients arrive.
