
Portable gadgets that contain a GPS device will soon be able to response to touch senses. Now the cost of gadgets that stimulate our sense of touch — known as haptic devices is coming down.
Adding a new dimension to communications, entertainment and computer control for everybody, and for people with visual impairment haptic devices are revolutionizing over the horizon.
A device has been proposed that consists of a headband. The headband imprints the shape of objects in front of it onto the wearer’s forehead! Wow! This can eventually help the visually impaired people while navigating though a cluttered environment.
