NASA patented technology will now be aiding U.S. soldiers returning from overseas duty with spinal cord or traumatic brain injuries. NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md. has originally developed the new revolutionary physical therapy device - SAM (Secure Ambulation Mode). This technology was originally built for enhancing robotics and sounding rockets.
Created by the late James Kerley, the SAM walker - a part of NASA’s this technology — transfer program. It also provides patients with degenerative conditions — like severe arthritis, multiple sclerosis, Lou Gehrig’s disease, cerebral palsy, and Parkinson’s disease - an opportunity to improve their mobility safely.
