Get ready! While driving you can receive wireless messages alerting you of a potential danger from an approaching vehicle or informing of traffic congestion ahead. Isn’t such a concept cool!
The Japanese carmaker Nissan has announced such innovative plans to test the concept named — ‘Intelligent Transportation System’. Wireless messages will be beamed optically from roadside beacons and will be received by an onboard computer used to alert a driver, Nissan informed.
Since more than 50% of cars in Japan are already equipped with navigational gadgets - like satellite Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers, the project is viable here, compared to US and Europe, where it is fewer than 10%.

This can add safety to drivers and passengers. I must say good luck to nissan and hope this technology will be spread throughout the world.
My saab headlights will be used minimally at night with this new tech because a message will alert me of any danger approaching.
