Rare high-altitude clouds found on Mars

Highest clouds above any planetary surface have been discovered by planetary scientists. To make this ground-breaking achievement above Mars, scientists used the Ultraviolet and Infrared Atmospheric Spectrometer (SPICAM) instrument on board the Mars Express spacecraft of ESA. This discovery has kicked up another puzzle on how the Martian atmosphere works!

Thanks to the data collected from the SPICAM. It is at an altitude between 80 and 100 kilometers, the layer of clouds is found floating. These clouds are most likely composed of carbon dioxide.
