But, great news for a grapevine owner, who would love to upgrade his business with technology — a robotic system that can hand prune grape vines four times faster than a human, has been developed by University students in Adelaide.
Though, through GPS and computer imaging, the software can be programmed — to tell a machine with a mechanical arm, where and at what angles to make the cuts - can it actually replace premium varieties that still need some hand pruning?
Whatever, this would surely save growers both time and money.
