Robot arms made from DNA! Yes, though technology has left us with nothing to be surprised with, this robot arms definitely interests us! Made entirely from DNA, — an attractive nanoscale building material — an arrangement of nanoscopic robot arms is controlled using further DNA strands! It has been designed by US scientists.
Hats off to Nadrian Seeman of US’s New York University for devising this robot arm! When exposed to complimentary DNA, the arms flip between orientations. It can also — in future — be used for moving molecules around or even construct nanoscopic structures!
