There are various risks which might be passed with genes but don’t worry as all genetic changes are not deadly. In order to help medical people identify the mutations posing health risks researchers have gone ahead and developed a new computer tool which evaluates sixteen predictive features which help in answering important questions.

The researchers stated that the though the computer tool cannot predict the future cancer cases but it could act as a supplement to traditional biochemical tests which can be quite time consuming. It is expected that this system would provide doctors with an important tool for advising patients regarding whether they need to take any preventive step from cancer to surface.

For testing the computer tool a thirty six point mutants was analyzed on the BRCA1 gene and the mutation resulted an amino acid residue change in protein produced by the gene and some of the variations have been found to cause breast or ovarian cancer among women.
