The concept of cold fusion may come out of the cold box since U.S scientists believe that this controversial topic may again lift head long after it had been regarded as a scientific breakthrough. Cold fusion is now regarded as low energy nuclear reaction and has the backing of rigorous and repeatable experimental data.
It was way back in 1989 that the concept of cold fusion was born and was regarded as a big scientific achievement and it was also said that it could solve energy problems of the world by offering unlimited sources of energy. However it could not live up to its name and subsequent experiments failed to build up on the initial findings. Now it is being revived by the scientists and one of the initial scientists involved with the concept stated that the excess heat generated by cold fusion was nuclear and not due to calorimetric errors. Looks like cold fusion would make some headway this time but without any hiccups.
